The Haddon Township Education Foundation (HTEF) provides grants from Haddon Township School District staff members for classroom, grade-level or school-wide learning initiatives, projects and.or activities that enhance the curriculum and for which there is no other funding source.
The Haddon Township Education Foundation empowers students and faculty to thrive by raising money and funding enhanced learning opportunities.
The Haddon Township School District is made up of 7 schools: Haddon Township High School (9-12), Rohrer Middle School (6-8), and 5 Elementary Schools (PreK-5) Strawbridge Elementary School, T.A. Edison Elementary School, Van Sciver Elementary School, Stoy Elementary School and Jennings Elementary School. As of September 2023 there are 2,101 students within the District.
Raise $10,000 from individual donors. Ideally we achieve 150 individuals donating over the course of the week.
The HTEF Week of Giving starts on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023 and ends on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023
We have set up a PayPal campaign page to track our progress. You can visit and donate via PayPal or credit card here: https://tinyurl.com/2023weekofgiving
During the Week of Giving we want to see which school has the most generous students, parents and alumni. When making a donation, donors can “+ Add a public comment to the campaign page”. If they name the school they want to support we'll calculate the total donated based on the number of students at each school. The school that contributes the most will earn a $500 grant to spend on its students.
The 2022 Haddon Township Education Foundation Week of Giving was the first such campaign for the HTEF. It ran from Nov. 14, 2022 - Nov 18, 2022. During that week the HTEF raised just under $8,000.
There was a social media day contest where a corporate sponsor agreed to donate $2 for every new follower or social media share that included the #HTEF.
We also had a School Challenge where donors were encouraged to name a Haddon Township school they support. The winner was determined by dividing the amount raised by each school by the number of students enrolled. The winning school for 2022 was Strawbridge Elementary School.
