On Saturday, October 12th, 2019 (9AM to 12PM), the HTEF will be taking part in a fundraiser that benefits both the HTEF and the Haddon Township community. Please join us in our efforts as we will be cleaning up the wood area next to McDonalds that extends back behind the high school. If you would like to support the community and the HTEF, you can volunteer any of your time between 9AM and 12PM, we would greatly appreciate it. For our efforts, the HTEF will receive a $500 donation, which will go towards classroom grants for the Haddon Township School District. We hope to see you there! This is a RAIN or SHINE event.
The inaugural HTEF golf tournament took place on October 19, 2018. Golfers were treated to a great round of golf at the Pennsauken Country Club. In addition to the round of golf, participants received a gift bag that included a T-shirt and hat courtesy of our sponsors: Green Side Up, Mike Dashkow Plumbing & Heating, 3D Physical Therapy, and Staples. After the round, golfers enjoyed an awards reception held at the Tap Room Bar & Grill which was sponsored by Bronx Brewery and Brauhaus Schmitz. Over 120 golfers from the community participated in the event that raised close to $3,000 for the HTEF. The 2nd Annual HTEF Golf Tournament is tentatively scheduled for Fall 2019.
On September 22nd, the HTEF and Ford Drive 4 Ur School teamed up for a fundraiser event that took place at the annual Haddon Township Block Party. Thanks to everyone who took part in the event. Because of your help in taking test drives in new Ford vehicles, we raised over $3,000!
On Saturday, June 2nd, the HTEF hosted our first fundraising event On the Square in Haddon Township. The event - Building the Foundation - raised $6,500! The turnout was great despite the rain. We had live music, food & drinks, and many great raffle baskets. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the HTEF during this event. This will become an annual tradition, and we look forward to even more success at next year's event.
Volunteers from the HTEF participated in the Spring Clean-Up at Saddler Woods on Saturday, May 12th. For our participation, the HTEF received $500.
The Haddon Township Education Foundation (HTEF) participated in its first fundraising activity on Saturday, September 16th. Twenty-five volunteers registered and took part as part of the HTEF team in a worthy neighborhood clean-up initiative that also raised funds for HTEF. Our adult and student volunteers spent several hours in the clean-up initiative that gives back to our community and teaches responsibility and respect for the environment. As an added bonus, this service project likely qualifies many of the participants for service hours. The HTEF would like to extend a special thank you to Chris Squazzo and the Haddon Township Environmental Commission for providing us with this fundraising opportunity and for being a fantastic host. Because of this opportunity, the HTEF received $500.00 for its participation.
